I have been working on a new BOS for the Faerie Tradition. Instead of purchasing a *ready made* book, I designed and made my BOS...just because I like the idea of being able to put my thoughts an energy into the project.
For this one I chose a 12 X 12 photo album that could also be used for scrapbookong. It's purple and nicely padded. I am using 8.5 X 11 velum paper for the actual pages I am writing on and then attaching them to a 12 X 12 sheet of scrapbook paper.
Going to be adding ribbons, jewels and charms as well.
This BOS is going to contain more artwork than my first one. Just absolutely HAVE to add Faerie pictures. Ahhhhh, boy am I happy to have my colored pencils, markers and stickers.....LOL!

Valentine's Day...hmmmmm...it turned out to be an OK day after all. Jimmy bought a potted Hyacinth plant for me, let's see if I can break the cycle of killing my plants this time. LOL!!!
No one in this house is working (there are 7 of us including 3 little girls), and the only income we have is my unemployment. OK, the guys are working day labor, but minimum wage doesn't go very far when you are trying to maintain a house with this many people in it.
All the bills are piling up and that adds to my stress level, ALOT! And then my daughter in law tries to find every shortcut she can to NOT pay a bill.
They are waiting for a *nice* sized tax return, and will be using that to move. According to the IRS the return *should* be deposited onto the H & R Block credit card they are now issuing this Friday the 16th. Hehehehe, now all we need is to find a place to live. We had a great one all lined up, but with the delay with the tax return, we lost it. So the search has begun, again.
All I have asked for in the new place is someplace I can put all my *witchy* stuff...it has been packed for almost a month and I feel so lost without it. In the place we have now we had an extra bedroom and it was perfect for me...I spent alot of time in the evenings after dinner and the kids went to sleep in that room. Just listening to my music, reading, grounding...it was my own little sanctuary.
Jimmy & I are *supposed* to have some input in where we live so we'll have to see what happends, see if we get to help with the decision where we live and the size of the house.

AGAIN ...with the damn snow!! Yes, I know we made the decision to move here, yes I know others who had lived here before us told us what the winters could be like, and yes I have no one to blame but myself for the place I find myself.
However, that does not mean I can't complain about the weather nor does it mean I have to LIKE the snow. I DO NOT!!! They are saying we will get between 8 and 10 inches tonight.
And with the snow comes the school closures. Can you imagine a small house with 3 wild and crazy little girls? Oh MY!!! They are LOUD!
Hopefully we will be moving this weekend and the basement is off limits to the munchkins...it will be MY sanctuary...LOL!!

It's snowing AGAIN!!! Maybe some people like the snow, but I have to say I am TIRED of it. Let me explain, I lived all my life until 5 years ago in Arizona. Desert, cactus, snakes, ...no snow unless you went to the mountains to ski.
Then in late 2002 we moved to Maryland and I had my first taste of *winter*...it snowed for 3 days that following February and after 18 inches, I was house bound for 3 more days. Winters in Maryland weren't too bad...mostly cold and windy with an occasional snow. Nothing to get your panties in a bunch about.
This past Samhain, we moved to Michigan to help my son and daughter in law...YIKES!!! Have I told you recently how much I HATE Michigan and the weather here...yeah I know so just move, right??
We had planned to be back in AZ by this time, but there was some complications...my son became hospitalized for a yet undiagnosed cause. He's still undergoing tests, the next one being a colonoscopy on Feb 20th.
Then on top of the health issues...my daughter decides it's a good time to leave her husband. I'm happy about that decision, the only thing wrong with that is he is such a JERK and is giving her hell about their 8 year old daughter. SO, the attorney says it will take about 6 months to get everything settled and her divorce to become final.
AHHHHH, well, I guess Thanksgiving is a good time to move back to Arizona...

My birthday was a few days ago...and I have mixed emotions about this one. It wasn't a milestone, that was last year. However, this was the first time in a long time I was able to spend it with my family.
I had a great day, my daughter, my son and daughter in law, 3 of my grandchildren and Jimmy made sure my day was amazing. My son cooked dinner for me, chimichangas, and all the trimmings...yummy. Hadn't had those since we left Arizona. Even had an email from my eldest daughter sending Bday greetings.
So you might wonder what the problem is?? Maybe I'm being over sensitive, but not one of my *friends* called, emailed or IM'd to say Happy Birthday. The sad thing is the ones I thought were friends all have birthdays close to mine..I made sure I took time to send greetings to them, wanted them to know I still think of them and I miss them.
Guess the old saying is true...*Out of Sight, Out of Mind*.
